Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea
shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put
the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it
pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell
someone!

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been going through such a tough time. I know how hard it is to keep trying sometimes. What do I do? Wallow, mope, eat crappy foods. Yeah, I think you probably should do the OPPOSITE of what I do!!

It’s true that when you’ve got diabetes you’ve got to play to win and never give up, but I don’t quite see it like a boxing match. To me, the more I try to fight diabetes, the harder it fights back. Anger, frustration, and a constant fight tends to beat me down and wear me out. Instead, I see it like an unfriendly roommate. It’s an “I don’t like you, you don’t like me” scenario, but I do my best to get along, and to understand and predict its needs and behaviors, and react accordingly, so I don’t end up getting myself in trouble.
